How to Watch VR Porn with Playstation VR (PSVR)

As of May 2017, this is the best method for watching VR Porn with PSVR. It allows for 3D, 180 side-by-side viewing and is thus preferred to the previous method of using the PS4’s default media player.

You will need:

  • PS4
  • PSVR headset
  • USB stick formatted as exFAT or FAT32
  • LittlStar PS4 App (free download on playstation store)

1. Download some PSVR porn

All the content linked on psvr.porn has been tested and we include the file names that worked for us. You can find more content on VR tube sites like pornhub.com/vr, vrporn.com, and virtua.video, though many videos do not seem to work in the LittlStar app.

2. Download the LittlStar VR Cinema app onto your PS4

Go to the playstation store and search “LittlStar”. Download the LittlStar VR Cinema app. It opens under TV/Video. If it is not available in your region, simply make a new PSN account, setting your country as United States. Download LittlStar from this account and it will be available for all users on your PS4.

3. Format your USB flash drive

Make sure your USB stick is formatted as either exFAT or FAT32. Create a folder called “LittlStar” at the root level (not within another folder).

4. Name and copy the VR porn video files

File names tell the LittlStar app how to play your VR porn. There are 2 specifications – field of view (360 or 180) and format (side by side, overunder, or mono).

The commands are as follows:

360 degree FOV = 360

180 degree FOV = 180

Side by side format = sbs, lr, rl

Over under format = ou, tb, bt

** Make sure you do not accidentally put any of these commands into your file name where they do not apply. For example, don’t name a video “virtualrealporn_360_ou”.

File naming convention: [name]_[FOV]_[format]

If you're not sure what kind of video you've downloaded, play it in a regular media player on your computer and look at the following examples.

If your video looks something like this, it is 180 degrees FOV and side by side format. You should name it video_180_sbs.

If your video looks something like this, it is 360 degrees FOV and side by side format. You should name it video_360_sbs

If your video looks something like this, it is 360 degrees FOV and over under format. You should name it video_360_ou

If your video looks something like this, it is 360 mono. This is the default way that LittlStar plays videos. You can name it video.

Finally, copy the files to your USB drive in the folder you made earlier called “LittlStar”.

5. Play the VR porn in the LittlStar VR Cinema app

Plug your USB drive into your PS4, put your PSVR headset on and start the LittlStar app. Now go to library and you should see all your videos. Press X to play them.

Additional information

LittlStar recommends these encoding settings for the video file. We have had videos work fine that do not follow these guidelines, but it is worth checking out if you can’t figure out why a video isn’t working.

Video Requirements

  • 264 High@5.1 or lower
  • Max pixel width: 2560
  • Max frame rate: 60fps
  • YUV420/NV12 color space
  • 20Mbps bit rate or lower

Audio Requirements

  • Stereo Audio only
  • AAC (Advanced Audio Coding)
  • 320Kbps bit rate or lower

Container Requirements

  • File extensions: MP4, MOV
  • No fragmented MP4
  • No DRM
  • 15 min max duration

LittlStar has listed some common issues:

  • Video files will not load if the video's format extension is not lowercase (IE ".mp4", not ".MP4")
  • Multiple USB sticks can cause video reading issues so it is recommended to only use a single drive that has been inserted before application start
  • Videos should not contain "sbs", "ou" or any of the other phrases above unless they are intended to let the player know which type of video it should try and render.
  • If you are formatting your drive on OSX (Mac), you will need to enable Master Boot Record (MBR), otherwise your videos may not show up
  • Traditional non-360 video is not currently supported
  • Sometimes formatting your drive on OSX can cause duplicate files on the application, this is a hidden meta file generated by OSX that ends up being recognized by the PS4. Once of these is the actual video and can be played back where the other is not and will not load.
